Why do you tell people to repress their gayness? (I'm not gay so don't feel the need to go preaching to me) You tell them that if they pray enough God will "Change Them" What the hell? You can't change your sexuality anymore than you can change your bloodtype. I used to be christian, before my friend showed me what freaks you guys are, I converted to the most tolerant religon of the gay culture, paganism. I still belive in God, I just don't think he's against Gay people. You have to realize that you can't control everyone, you can't push your beliefs into the law, it doesn't work that way. There are some things you can't control, get used to that fact. None of you seem to understand that gay marriage is none of your buisness. I know there's some christians out there who aren't against gay people and I don't mind you, but as for the rest of you, if you really want to "protect" marriage, illegalize divorce and adultry geniuses! See how much people like you after that.

Your response to my question is "Cuz god said so"? Well guess what, some people don't believe in god so they shouldnt have to follow your rules, and if you follow everything god says, then read this
LEVITICUS 11:9-12
'Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales. 10 But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to detest. 11 And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat and you must detest their carcasses. 12 Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you.
So this means both gay people and shrimp, are an abomination. The bible makes no sense because it was mistranslated! This isn't the first time christians have gotten sumthin wrong.

Well this is my answer go ahead call me a freak. I don care what people say that i am. All i know that I am Gdschild!
>You tell them that if they pray enough God will "Change Them" What the hell? You can't change your sexuality anymore than you can change your bloodtype<
Its not changing blood type if you were a Christian you will know what do they mean by this. I guess you really werent. N e ways that main fact God will change them is actually God will deliver them! In saying that you were a Christian, this "gay person:" is not really them! They are demons that make them think this way. This is not them for real. If you were cast the demon out of them then you will see a HUGE difference!
> I still belive in God, I just don't think he's against Gay people<
Obviously he is in the story in Jonah! The reason Jonah didnt want to obey God because he was scared they might to something to him. "They" were the gay people God send Jonah to preach to them and to tell them that what they were doing was wrong! they were sinning.
You should consider going back to Christianity. You get more answers than questions. Or you could just read the bible! Its the guide on how to take you to Heaven *God bless*

Q: "Why do you tell people to repress their gayness?"
A. This should only be told to gays who profess to be Christians. A theme that dominates the New Testament is that one must die to themselves and live for Christ. The Bible outlines *** promiscuous sex outside of marriage as sin. The Bible also defines marriage as between 1 man and 1 woman.
Q. "You tell them that if they pray enough God will "Change Them" What the hell? You can't change your sexuality anymore than you can change your bloodtype."
A. And you get this bit of knowledge from where? God has and continues to heal many afflictions in our society. To assert that He cannot heal the disorder of attraction to ones own sex is absurd.
Q. I still belive in God, I just don't think he's against gay people.
A. You're right, He loves everyone in the world equally. That's why He died for their sins, even while they still sinned. God hates sin...sexual immorality is a sin whether your gay or straight.
Q. See how much people like you after that.
A. The Bible also outlines that the world will hate His followers. If you are ridiculed for standing up for God, then you will truly be blessed. People have been brainwashed into a "if it feels good, it can't be that bad" attitude. This is clearly against the teachings of Christ.

I won't go preaching to you, I'll just try and explain what I believe. I don't have anything against people who are gay, I just hate that they are gay. I'll start in Romans 1:26 "Refusing to know God, they(gay and lesbian people) soon didn't know how to be human either. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men- all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh how they paid for it....And it's not that they don't know any better. They know perfectly well that they are spitting in God's face."(The Message translation) God's not against gay people, He loves every single person on the planet, but He hates that they are sinning against Him by being gay. I realize that I can't control everyone, and neither can you or anyone else. As far as illegalizing divorce, as far as I know, the courts have made it extremely hard to get a divorce these days, and a little FYI, the Bible says that divorce is ok under certain circumstances. I can't change how you or anyone else feels, but I am fully confident that God can, and I hope that He will because He wants you in Heaven with Him when He comes back.
Also, I really don't understnad your Leviticus reference. You're not making sense to me.

God Ordained Marriage between a man and a woman one of each to have a Godly covenant to have offspring. Some don't have offspring because, not all that gets married gets his gift.
I think it's ashame you rather want to be into paganism that is of Satan rather getting more in depth in the Bible and Godly Churches.
Jesus said at the the deciples and those that was going to cast the stone to that woman that commited adultery. Those without sin cast the first stone. This means we are all sinners even Christians. When You live a Godly lifestyle and repent turn away from your sins and wicked and worldly ways. Then you would figure out why us Christians are against Gays Marrying. I have a few family members that are Gay. Do you think I look down on to them because they are living a lifestyle that I do approve of? God Said to a man not lie with a man which mean sleeping with a man and that goes with woman.
However, On a second note not all that you see that bashes Gays and Lesbians are for Christ and some of them are false teachers. My Church and my Father in law's church is against Gays to marry however, we don't look down on the person.

Sad
you say you were a Christian, yet you don't know how God feels about homosexuality?
I wish you would have studied more.
Short and too the point. Read 1st Corinthians 6:9 New International version makes it very understandable. Homosexuality IS a sin against God
That doens't mean He doesn't love the PERSON homosexual though. That sin can be forgiven right along with all the other sins. The thing is, a person has to WANT to be forgiven for a sin and attempt to stop doing that sin......
Gay amrriage IS our business...aside from religion. it'll involve things like paying death benefits, Social security, etc.etc......Those costs will come out of MY pocket, YOUR pocket, and everyone who pays taxes.
There are many bad health issues associated with being gay. Our taxes help pay thoise costs too....you and I pay them.
I do hope you come back around to Christ before it's too late.

wow, first off, i'm sorry so many christians have rubbed you the wrong way. that sucks and it's unfair to you that you've had such a nasty time with people. i really don't care one way or the other about gay marriage or anything else. it's not really any of my business. i'm one of those christians "out there" who have a lot of gay friends, and love them regardless. after all, the bible does say that God's the judge of all things, not us. but please do remember when you say christians, you speak about millions of people, many belonging to many different sects. christianity is a bit different from some religions- there are tons and tons of break off sects from it. the only thing that really connects them as 'christian' is the belief in the trinity and christ's crusifiction and reserection. but enough background. i'm big on examples, so, you know when you watch the news and you see the islamic extremeists burning an american flag and the news seems to make it appear that all muslims are bad and against america? in reality there are tons and tons of muslims in america who live their lives without anything against the country. the point being, that the people who make the most noise are the smaller more extreme groups usually. the christians that people tend to be able to identify as christians are the ones who wear it on their sleeves. the bible actually tells us to love our neighbors. but the simpler messages tend to get lost in the politics of the world. i was raised christian, but when i reached a certain age, i chose it. i chose it after deciding for myself what my beliefs were- much like you have where you say that you still believe in God. i guess what struck me about your post was that you seem to have stopped being a christian because of the undesirable experiences you've had with some of them. but is that really fair to you? you can believe in whatever you want- it's no skin off my nose what you believe- i'm not getting any points for you being a christian or not. but i guess i just wanted to tell you that you should choose your religion for yourself, not because of what someone said or that someone turned you off. i guess i just wanted to let you know that the majority of christians aren't bad, and the experiences with the intollerant ones i've met are far less than the experiences with the tollerant ones. the reason that most people hear about the intollerant ones is that they're usually- in my experiences- louder. much louder. that's all.

You clearly haven't noticed what the Anglican Communion and Episcopal Church USA have been going through.
A few years back, ECUSA consecrated as bishop an openly gay man, a man who is in a committed relationship. That is Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire.
I thought it was absolutely AWESOME that a gay man had reached the status of bishop. I was doing a serious happy dance.
But, some in the Anglican Communion don't like this idea, and now it's teetering on the brink of tearing the Communion asunder.
Just a few months back, a new Presiding Bishop was chosen for ECUSA - and much to the chagrin of most of the rest of the Communion, the new PB is a woman! GASP!
Bishop Katharine Jefferts-Schori will go through her investiture ceremony on 4 November at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. Wish I could be there. She is one of the people who presided at Bishop Robinson's consecration ceremony.
ECUSA has been known for being very welcoming of all KINDS of people into their church. It's one of the reasons why I, as a person who does incorporate elements of pagan ritual into my spiritual practices and who dates a Heathen, have joined ECUSA.
Look up the website for Grace Cathedral in San Fransisco. They have an awesome labyrinth that one can walk as one does meditations; this is a practice that goes back thousands of years before Christ. And they have incorporated it into their spiritual life! I think that's awesome. They have reading material and cards and finger labyrinths you can purchase online.
So not ALL Christians want gay people to change. Many DO believe that "we need not think alike to love alike" as John Wesley (Anglican priest and founder of the United Methodist tradition) once said.

I think what the educated Christians want gays to do is to not practice or indulge in their gay sexual behavior. That would be having sex with or marrying/courting the same sex. Educated Christians should know that homosexuality cannot be cured so easily if at all. Some gays have become straight again after certain long term therapy, but we can never know the extent of their gayness. Anyway, homosexuality is outwardly banned and hated in the bible and there is no scripture that exist to slide out of it being condemned on. Although many Christians find scriptures that let them slide their bad behavior right out of the bible and into heaven.

God loves gay people but hates their sins, go read Leviticus and find out what hapened to those people back then. (They got stoned). The Bible tells ALL Christians to be the salt of the earth. Salt irritates, if you're a tolerant person and watches other ppl go to hell, you're not doing what a Christian is suppose to do.
Paganism aka New Age is in essence LUCIFERISM. Lucifer was the name of the devil aka Satan.
People aren't born gay. They choose that lifestyle of death.

OK here's what I think their problem is:
As a straight male, the idea of having relations with another man is very unappealing to me (yes, even disgusting). Many people hate what they find disgusting.
To hate an idea, you probably hate the supporter of it...but hating a person is a little harder. You have to assume that what you hate about them is a choice (you can't hate someone for something they can't control, can you?). So for justification of their hatred, they assume that sexual orintation is a choice and turn to ONE passage in the bible that states man lying with another man is an abomination (which actually translates to "unhealthy".
They ignore many of the other passages in Leviticus, such as eating pork is an abomination, eating shellfish is an abomination, mixing fabrics is an abomination, etc. because they don't support something they are uncomfortable with.
