I think they are:

1: That there is evidence for a god;
2: That that god is the Muslim god.

1 is simply false, and 2 is a non-sequitur. Much of the rest of the work suffers from being based on these first two mistakes.

What do you think?

fozio:

1: The universe only tells us that the universe exists, and nature only tells us of the power of evolution.

2: The Qur'an does indeed say that this god is the Muslim god because it describes his character, his orders to us and everything else that a Muslim is supposed to believe about his god.

Spread of Islam throughout history has been war, this is the first mistake. You do not wage "jihad" to spread a religion and cut off people's heads and enslave their kids if they don't convert. You also don't blow yourself up.

1; That point is based on opinion. I cannot claim that I am right and neither can you.
2; There is no such thing as a 'Muslim God'. God, or 'Allah' which is the Arabic word for God, is the God of everything and everyone by definition. Also, if you read the Quran, you will find that God talks to all His creation - the Muslims, Christians, Jews, Pagans, Unbelievers, people in general.

Wrong;

1- There is evidence of god, refers to the world out there. The power of god almighty can not been seen nor detected by us humans. God is beyond a simple image, body or imagination but we see his work is us, in nature in everything around us.

2- There is no such thing as god is muslim. Actually god can not belong to any religion because religion is actually there to worship god and provide guidance to us mortals in our everyday lives. No where in the Quran does it say that god is muslim nor belongs to any religion.

Hope the above clarifies :)

I don't know enough about the Qur'an to make a judgment, but I did ask a very good friend and Pastor who has a Masters in Theology about it. I ask the specific question about Allah and God, if they were the same. His answer was very simple. Nowhere in the Bible does God call Himself Allah. Even if this is an interpretation of the word “God”, it is still different than what God has told us to call him. They are not one in the same.
