Actually, if you read the bible, she was not portrayed there as a whore. It was subsequent writings and custom that did so. Interesting article about that in Smithsonian Magazine a few months ago.

Oh, and I'm not Christian, btw.

Mary Magdaline was not portrayed as whore. If you know your Bible (i'm guessing you don't and you don't care too) she was the one whom Jesus drove 7 demons out of. In no way is she mentioned as being a prostitute. Many people have this mixed up. Even Christians.
And please don't insult me by calling me a mindless sheep woman. Man did not write the Word of God. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit. I don't feel enslaved as a Christian woman. If white men want to misinterpret the Bible then that is there problem. You know what? I feel sorry for you.
God bless you anyway.

How very confused you are! Do you know how foolish you make yourself out to appear? Get the facts before you foam at the mouth with such nonsense.

1) God is the one who chose what was included in the Bible, not men.

2) The Bible nowhere depicts Mary Magdalene as a whore!

"If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?" (John 3:12)

You have some serious issues against the Bible. The Bible is a holy book. Mary as a whore just shows how willingly Jesus is to forgive sins from mankind.

You missed reading the whole story. Dan Brown wrote fiction and said so in the front of his book. If you want truth, read and weep.

In 2 Timothy read the following and see if you see yourself there.

Chapter 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING YOU

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

You are correct in part. It is my understanding it is because they believed unless they "damned" her she might have too much power with the Christian followers.
