my dog breaks her toes alot.. My vet told me to slow her down not ball playing and running. I give her calcium. she jukes and weaves in the yard and her toes get stuck the the dirt. i also give a aspirin if she is in pain. You usually know if you dog is hurting. there is really nothing the vet will do besides tell you it's broken

Just as there is nothing that is done for a human broken toe I doubt that there is much that can be done for a dog's broken toe.
You can call a local animal emergency clinic and ask what is done for a broken toe on a dog and they can tell you. . . and I suspect they will tell you the same thing I have told you.
You can also tell them of your dilemma and they may be willing to help you should you really need to address this issue of a possible broken toe.
Alot of times a vet will take a post dated check or checks.
In an effort to help the animal feel alittle better during it's healing time you might be able to devise a makeshift splint to keep the toe immobile but always do what the vet says first.
Good Luck

There is no need for a vet! Keep activity to a minimum and use low dose baby aspirin for pain and it will gradually get better as long as the dog is still eating and drinking. A vet is unnecessary and will only cost money you don't need to waste. Raised and hunted dogs forever trust me

Just use medical tape to wrap the broken toe to the good toe next to it. That's most likely what the vet will do. Don't waste your money.

You should start calling nearby vets as soon as possible and ask if you can be billed later, pay in installments or whatever you can work out. Another suggestion would be to contact the SPCA about your situation, and they'll try to help you--or at least, point you in the right direction.

There isn't much to do for a broken toe. My grandson recently broke his toe. Went to dr and got it taped to the toe next to it. Just do the same thing. Tape it to one of the toes next to it. Would be better if not taped to an outside toe if possible.

If you broke your toe and you went to the doctor, know what he/she would do for you? Nothing, that's what...there is nothing that can really be done except to let it heal. I'd try to keep the dog as quiet as possible and maybe crush up a baby aspirin and mix it with some wet food for the first few days when the pain is the worse.

Your dog needs to go to the vet....Maybe borrow some money from a friend or a family member.

I would try the human society. Or call around and find out if any vets in your area will let you do a payment plan.
