I am looking mostly in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood. I am very interested in hearing about less traditional ideas (not just the big hotels).

Pali Mountain, up near Big Bear is the bomb. In the spring, it has great view, a big redwood deck and all that you need. They only do weddings on Sundays, but well worth the trip to have a look see.

Open the yellow pages and you will find zillions of places/themes. The greatest one will be in your heart. Forget about the ceremony for a moment - what will make you and your groom feel as if you are melding into one. (meld is correct).

if money is not an issue hire a wedding planner. He or she will know the best places and some non-traditional sites.

Rent a school gymnasium and donate the money you would have spent to charity.
