to be fair when attempting to choose the 5 greatest boxers of all time i think it`s important to consider the era in which each individual boxed in and not try to think of all on equal ffooting as several factors have changed with the passing of time. my top 5
1.muhammad ali
2.sugar ray robinson
3.joe louis
4.jack johnson
5.sugar ray leonard

the first 4 were easy for me the last pick could have went to others but considering leonard holds victories over benitez, duran, hagler, hearns well he earned my vote. as far as people putting rocky marciano in this category i feel he is very overrated as his biggest victories were wars against former champions well past their primes.

Not bad, but my list would go like this:
Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman. The reason I've included Foreman is that I think he could have been the greatest ever if he hadn't been outsmarted by Ali. Foreman totally destroyed Ken Norton and Joe Frazier, who were fantastic fighters, and who had always been able to put up a great fight - even when they lost. But with Foreman they were just annihilated, which shows what a force he was. He just wasn't prepared for that Rope-A-Dope!
