If you want to format, you should be able to boot from the W2K CD and do it as part of the install process.

Have your PC boot to the Windows 2000 installation disk. Win 2000 setup will ask if you want to format during the installation.

Did you make restore disks? If so, save all your information to an external device and put in the first CD then follow the directions. If not, search for system recovery on your computer and find out where you can make your retore CDs. It took about 10 CDs for my set. Good luck.

make certain you back up your records two times over. while your waiting to place in, restart your pc and dad in the installation CD so which you will carry out a "new domicile windows installation." Then, while led to to, delete your previous partition and use "unused area" to place on your new domicile windows XP. i could propose formatting your tensechronic with ""NTFS (rapid)"" as a results of fact this is going to soak up ordinary terms a minuite or 2 to format. stable luck!
