You could make him some delicious smoothies for a breakfast option. Buy some Whey Protien powder which is found at Walmart and most grocery stores in the health food section, I prefer Vanilla flavor so Grandpa gets all his vitamins and protien. I use Whey instead of Soy because often the Soy is to harsh for my stomach and can lead to cramping...if you know what I mean. Anyway, this is what I would use:

1 scoop of Whey Protien Powder
3 Tablespoons Plain Yogert
1/4 cup fresh fruit (berries, bananas, melon)
1 Tablespoon of Orange Juice concentrate (the frozen stuff)
4 ice cubes
add some milk, juice or just water and Blend until pureed and creamy.

This is delicious and healthy!

As for dinners, you can prepare ground meats. They have ground turkey, chicken, pork, beef, veal, sausage...just about anything! Put a little gravy and mashed taters with a side of yams, well cooked brocolli, cauliflower, carrots, squash or eggplant and there's another healthy one!

Also, a light white fish would be good for him. You can grill it, bake, sautee...however he likes it!

Good Luck and take care of your Grandpa!

tuna or salmon croquettes, baked fish, eggs, cheese are some things that are high protein. I make a vegetable soup using lean ground beef instead of stew meat. Just brown the ground beef and add whatever you like. Stewed chicken can be very tender if you cook it for a long time. The deboned and chopped meat can be added to casseroles, soups, or veggies.

hash, chicken enchiladas, clam chowder, tuna casserole, meatloaf w/ gravy, au gratin potatoes, sweet potatoes w/ marshmallows, egg salad sands, omelets, macaroni goulash, salmon croquettes (patties)

My Dad had no teeth and Parkinson's Disease (difficulty swallowing) and he liked all of these but, be sure you give him some Ensure or a good equivalent. I found Costco had the best price on Ensure

Actually, he could eat just about anything as long as it's cooked to a soft consistancy.
Try slow cooked foods. If he has trouble with meats, grind them slightly to enable him to eat them.
