Honestly,

It's a crappy charge to put against someone, and to be honest, you wouldnt get more then a fine, but contact a lawyer too.

In Cook County, IL not much happens to someone charged with a misdemeanor. For a disorderly conduct charge, usually the complainant does not show up, and then it gets tossed out immediately. Which isn't always so bad, it's a good way to lock an a#@hole up for the night and make him post $100.00 bond. The only bad part is that some bar attorney will talk to the defendant for 2 minutes and then take that $100.00 dollars. Multiply that times 30 - 40 defendants and it's a good days work for a bar attorney, who really didn't do much but talk to the state and both agred to s.o.l. the charge ( stricken off leave). That is why I am thinking of enrolling in law school.

For a first offense you won't see anything but a court fine possibly up to 500 dollars depending on the case.

Depending on the state, most misd. charges have a max. of 6 months to one year. If it's a 1st offense and there are no mitigating circumstances (injuries, etc...) then you will most likely get a suspended sentence.
