If you popped a vein go to the hosptial immeditately. Otherwise take ice and motrin. Either way you want to get it checked out.

Its up to you if you want to go the hospital, but I wouldnt if I were you. The treatment for a broken finger is a splint and this can be done at home. Take a popsicle stick and measure it from the bend of your wrist to alittle past the tip of your hurt finger. Place it on the palm side of your hand and tape around the hurt finger and the one next to it. Don't tape it too tight. For pain, take some motrin or Tylenol and try not to use your finger for about 2 weeks. Also, make sure you take the splint off at night to allow for the skin to breathe.
If its just sprained, apply ice and take it easy. Tylenol or motrin for pain.
Good luck to you :)

Yeah, you could have it Xrayed and they would tell you to immobilize it and take it easy and charge you an outrageous amount of money just to tell you what you can figgure out on your own. Give it a rest/ Take it easy, try not to injure it further. Yeah, right, "sticks out like a sore thumb" take an aspirin and call me in the morning....or Bayer Back and Body.
