I don't really hope to answer your bias, but you need to check your facts.
American cars are not 'whack'. They are some of the most economical, well made, and technically advanced vehicles on the market. You don't believe me? Check this out...
GM has a 5 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty on all of its '07 cars and light trucks. Does Toyotas, Honda, Nissan offer that? (I know Hyundai and Kia offer similar warranties, but they don't match GM on many levels) Check it out.
GM has more cars that get 30 or more MPG that any other manufacturer. Check it out.
GM is working on alternative fuels (even before the latest gas price increase) that will actually do something to save the environment. Do you know that over its life, an Escalade running E85 will burn less gasoline than a Prius? Check it out.
BTW, I love that someone gave me a 'thumbs down' for citing facts!

The term you use "whack" leads me to believe you are young/dumb and full of it! American cars rock! Pull along-side a Chevy Corvette or Ford -Shelby Mustang ,place a "title for title" bet , race and see who walk's! Today's car, are for convienance and priced, according to your financial status. Good luck!

I dont know what you mean my 84 4x4 chevy is fine and my 79 firebird is great . My 76 ford camper has been to alsaka to Georgia just needed tires and oil changes so far . What ya mean ????????????? And if you really look at these questions on here for repairs 95 % of them are for cars other than american made cars. Plus no one knows how to work on them or wants too. So spend your money on those great dependable junks then but back up what you say by what is really true. Go on look at the repair questions for starters.

American cars are whack because ... well lets put it this way,, did you know if our cars were made like Benz our cars would be the most expensive cars in the world! y? because we want more money for building them, and we are just plain greedy. so we make them cheap so people can afford them.

Henry Ford once said " I would give cars away if the owner would bring them back for repairs" They want to make money off the service of parts that wear to quickly. Cadillacs now come with 100,000 mile warranty. It's getting better

first off it is not the auto workers as they just put them together. I would say it is because they are made cheap and designed to wear out very shortly after the warrenty expires.

Because it has always been the mentality of GM and Ford to produce vehicles that will require maintenance after the warranty expires. They are greedy.
