Raw is a wonderful way to feed. I completely recommend it. The only draw back in my opinion is that it takes more time to prepare the food. The pros would be cheaper vet bills, less health problems for your baby, and promise of longer life.
They also make patties that are made by the BARF diet people. They are expensive but allow you to take less time in the morning or evening to make the food. The whole idea of raw though is that the bones help to clean the teeth so they still recommend feeding meat on the bone to your dog(s) a few times a week, (might have even been once a day, I forget).

i feed all 5 of my dogs ( 1 GSD, 2 dobes, walker hound, 15 yr old standard poodle) a semi-raw and a "mock" raw diet. they are called honest kitchen and natures' variety. go to the websites and look up the info on these foods. the nature's variety is a dry kibble that is easy to feed and the honest kitchen is a dehydrated raw diet that you add water to. both made from raw foods and are great for my dogs. my standard poodle is 15 yrs old and doing wonderful!!! it has even reversed her seizure status, and the vet i work for has said that he has never seen a heatlhier standard. (15 is very unusal for a st. poodle )it is well worth the time and expense when you know your dog is being fed what nautre intened it to have.

Why raw? Too much chance of bacteria causing stomach issues and bowel problems.

Why? Why don't you try it on yourself first. You can hurt your little pup.
