Jesus wouldn't be in the same club as people who hate, He teaches against hate. He didn't and doesn't have a difficult time with confronting situations and people that are wrong . He always did it, usually calm and to make a point. He did however, show some anger and temper when he turned the tables all over in the temple.
Jesus has the ability to love and confront at the same time. Everyone He confronted in the Scriptures accepted what He said because of the way He was able to say it, except the religious leaders of course, who were all jealous. He would be talking with people about sex relationships, being drunk, and their moral lives, all these things are addressed in the Scriptures, we know what He thinks about it all. and I'm sure if He was here today He would take the same stand, as this is how God feels too.

Some need to understand ALL the teachings of Jesus, and adhere the reality that all was good for the purpose.
In Matthew, Jesus called the Pharisees "morons," said they made some childs of hell, hypocrites, white washed tombs, et al.
Does that sound compassionate?
He spoke the truth in love with wisdom. He knew WHEN to get tough (turning the tables over in the temple) and when to show mercy (lame man at Bethesda). He loved all to tell people what they NEEDED to hear, not what they want to hear.
He only did what He saw His Father do.
THAT is the key to His love.

I don't know. I assume that certain Christians get caught up in trying to fit into some mold of the right clothes, the right job, looking the part, that they forget what Christ was really about and end up causing people a lot of pain. I actually feel sorry for people like that and even sorrier for the people they hurt. I would hate for the only representation of Christ you see to be some superficial poser. People of all walks of life choose to worship Christ but I don't think we can blame Christ because they choose to use their free will to cause others pain.

He would "teach not preach the way by example".
-well said-
I think that christians are unchrist like because their religion gets them off the hook from having to actually act as good and decent individuals (not saying that all are bad people). They feel that they can do whatever they want because god is on their side, and if they do something that isn't right they just ask for forgivness and they are forgiven. It's a convenient, and bizzare, belief system if you ask me.

I think Jesus would love them yes. I also think Jesus would have told them that it is sin. He never minced words. I think of the apostles also and how they were killed for their faith in Jesus. Not because they were preaching something wrong, but because it convicted people and they didn't want to change. Actions need to match the words, but there is nothing wrong in saying those lifestyles are sin. God's word says they are.

Jesus, while on earth, warned people away from sin. He spoke about hell, about repentance, about turning away from evil and doing good. I'm sorry you think that Christians, who believe the word of God, are being un-Christ like in standing on the word and not compromising it. This world wants to call evil good; the bible warns in the last days, people will be doing this.

jesus was a revolutionary in his time in terms of ideas and morals. he loved sinners and people with problems and he tried to spend as much time with them as he could. he did not like the religious establishment and 'holier than thou' personalities.

how about when someone asks a legitimate question like bible verses that contradict each other and the asker gets all the lip service about why they are wrong. It just shows all of the hypocrisy.

There really is no "Christ-like". The stuff written about Jesus was written decades after he died, if he existed at all. The Bible is so vague about most topics that you can take just about any worldview from it.
