if your lungs arent picking up the oxygen from the air and transferring it to your blood fast enough, and you don't breathe faster, theoretically you would suffer from oxygen deprivation. However, you will pass out first, and a subconsious breathing center in your brainstem will take over, and compensate for the lack of oxygen by forcing you to breathe faster. otherwise, not really.
