You do not mention if your education level. So I would recommend continuing your education from where you are. If you dropped out of high school, you can earn your G.E.D. If you have that or a High School Diploma, then you may want to attend a community college and take Liberal Arts courses. This will prepare you for a four-year Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree, and will expose you to a whole new world of ideas. In the process, you may find something that you truly want to pursue.

Also, there are career counselors and financial advisors at college to help you discover what your interests and strength are/lie, and their services are free to prospective and current students.

If you have your college degree, you may want to explore some professions, and go to graduate school. Much valuable information may be gained from "Informational Interviews" with people in careers you are interested in learning more about. To do this, you look in the phone book, and call to see if someone would be willing to spend 10 minutes with you, in person or on the phone. Then you ask how they got into their field, what they like/dislike about it, salary range, education and training required, etc. This will save you a lot of time and money before pursuing a degree.

Best wishes and good luck.

I'd suggest that you sign up for a volunteer program--maybe in a hospital or a food kitchen. Helping people can often be fulfilling and sometimes educational. Having someplace to go provides a certain amount of discipline if you take it seriously.
