It has been a long time since I did any study on this, but Babylon is an analogy to pesudo or false imitations. There are two Babylons in the Book of Revelation, a political and a religious. I think you might be merging the two together.

has it's destruction started already? The biggest question is which country is Babylon the great from Revelation? I believe that it's destruction has already started from within and will continue until it is completed in one day . Probably nuclear.
Yes Don't take Revelation seriously, you would be likely to get saved for fear of the judgment to come. Read the news, and then tell me that you think that we are at peace.

Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

There's more to Babylon the great than just false religion. The four pillars of Satan's counterfeit kingdom include false science, false government, false economics, and false religion.

Read all about it:

Do you consider the Catholic Church to be the leader of this false church. For instance, John Paul II led a meeting in Asissi France a few years ago where the leaders of all the world's religions met to discuss unity and the like. The Pope even took the 'Mark of Shiva' on his forehead during the festivities. Do you think this is a prelude to the 'Mark of the Beast'?

Don't take Revelations too seriously. St. John did not really understand what he was seeing and interpreted according to the beliefs of his day. What he wrote is open to many interpretations and will be used by many cults to support their own views. It is certainly not referring to Islam.

The Fifth Revelation (nothing to do with the bible) explains these visions. If you want to know more, send me an e-mail, but I don't want to get into an argument about it.

The Bible interprets itself. to appreciate any image employed in Revelation, you in ordinary terms ought to refer back to the appropriate literal use of that image in the previous testomony. Why the previous testomony? as a results of fact the hot testomony all of us understand did no longer exist on the time that any of the guy gospels or epistles of Christ's disciples and apostles have been written. the only "Scriptures" in existence at that factor develop into what we call the previous testomony.         The literal city of Babylon (which all of us understand from King Nebuchadnezzar's time) gets its call from the city and tower (Gen. 11:4) which develop into equipped by way of Nimrod in the land of Shinar (Gen. 10:8-10). Nimrod's city develop into talked approximately as Babel (Gen. 11:9; reliable's H894: "confusion") in view it somewhat is the place our lord god at a loss for words the single language (Gen 11:6) into many languages so as that the individuals does no longer have the skill to unify in apostasy against Him.         Likewise, it develop into in the city of Babylon, under Nebuchadnezzar, that a guy first tried to dictate who and how adult adult males have been to worship. to that end, we are in a position to appreciate that Babylon the total is an emblem it somewhat is employed to characterize non secular confusion and apostasy -- and a device which tries to dictate who and how adult adult males are to worship.         Why can we could desire to get out of this form of device? we don't decide to be in open apostasy against God. All people who're would be destroyed in the Lake of fire on that very final Judgment Day. Likewise, we don't decide to be in confusion as to the flaws that are easily of God (holy) and the flaws that are of the traditions of adult adult males (profane). as long as we proceed to be in confusion, there is the threat that we are nevertheless in apostasy against God and the flaws of God. rather, we could desire to be Noble Bereans (Acts 17:a million-13) whom will study the word of God for ourselves and shed each and all of the traditions of adult adult males that have been surpassed all the way down to us by way of that device it somewhat is named "Babylon the total." God bless.
