I was over at a friends house the other night and all of a sudden cops showed up and were calling for us to come out. We were asked questions and stuff, and then told to go to somewhere else (like another friends house)....

The question is....I left my wallet (containing drivers liscence and school ID as well as some money) and my iPod...and im wondering: when I can get it back and how will I get it back?

There was someone arrested, and the cops did not take them (as far as i know)....I just left them on a couch as I got out of the house and wasnt allowed back in. They also have no significance to the crime or "crime".

you left the items behind-it is a civil issue and not criminal. the cops have nothing to do with it.

Did the police take your items? If so, go to the police department and ask for copy of report covering this incident. Evidence taken will be listed. If there is no report, go to to an officer in charge and tell him about your belongings being taken. Was anyone arrested?

I very seriously doubt that the police has your wallet, unless some rogue cop stole it. There was no reason for them to collect it.

If the cops took them you will have to go ask for them back. Did you get a receipt? No? SOL.
