My dog is the same way, when i leave she constantly scratches up the bottom of my door. My vet said she has separation anxiety, she suggested leaving toys or a blanket with the scent of my perfume so she has something to remember me until i get back. Also, leaving a TV, radio or fan on helps them feel like someones there so they dont feel so alone. This worked for me, but not all dogs are alike, so good luck : ).

I would suggest putting him/her in a kennel cab according to its' size and not crowed.Your pet will soon adapt to the kennel crate and when ready to nap,it will love to go in it,as most dogs like to nap where it feels secure. One should never give a pet the run of the house while away,as many accidents can happen to your pet while away, and with the crate, you won't have to worry about it while gone, but don't forget to let it out when returning home.Hope this helps.

I use a dog crate for my dog. It is her house I keep it open all the time so she does not think of it as punishment. she loves her house and when I do leave I put her in it if I don't she will bark all day or night I also leave the crate in the living room so it is part of the house

Leave TV on or turn radio on. Brush him just a little each morning or pet him before you leave.

It sounds like your dog has separation anxiety. You should exercise him before you leave, if possible. Remember a tired dog is a happy dog.
