Can anyone tell me what kind of cholestrol and maybe the percentages is in eggs? is it HDL which is good cholesterol, LDL which is bad cholestrol, or Triglycerides. This makes me curious cause with every egg you eat you get 213 mg of cholesterol thats over 70% of your daily value and the american heart association recommends you have 3-4 each week. So if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated :o)

George Mann, formerly with the Framingham project, possessed neither funding nor patience and in fact was very angry with what he called the "Diet/Heart scam". His independent studies of the Masai in Africa, whose diet is extremely rich in cholesterol and saturated fat and who are virtually free of heart disease, had convinced him that the lipid hypothesis was "the public health diversion of this century...the greatest scam in the history of medicine".

I can not believe that Registered Dietician said eggs are bad. Eggs are the most healthy foods you can eat. Preferably from pasture raised chickens and not from the confinement chickens fed "vegearian feed". Birds like insects, worms and seeds. Those have the tastiest eggs. Go to you local farm. Or click hear to find sources.

Saturated fat and cholesterol do not cause heart disease. Read more about why traditional foods like beef, eggs, butter, and organ meats are GOOD for you in the following pages:

Dangers of Statin Drugs. Doctors and drug manufacturers are turning healthy people into sick patients by prescribing statin drugs to almost everyone. Read about these dangerous drugs.

Fats. Read the following pages to get an introduction to healthy traditional fats that have nourished people for millenia, and learn to distinguish them from modern damaged fats found in processed food. Learn why lowfat diets promoted by the government and food industry just keep making us fatter.

The Skinny on Fats. This is a lengthy article, but it effectively dismantles the lipid hypothesis (that saturated fat and cholesterol cause heart disease). An excellent introduction to the basic science of fats and the political issues surrounding the exhortation to avoid saturated fats.

eggs have the bad cholesterol and i honestly couldn't tell you anything more than that about eggs...what i do have to say is don't worry about what anyone recommends...because it's going to be the health nuts in this world who will be sorry when they're in the hospital dying of nothing...not only that but those numbers change early...but i wouldn't worry...those are the same people that say every disease or condition is the number one killer in the U.S. (heart disease, obesity, cancer and many others are all the number one killers..go figure right??)

Eggs have the bad cholesterol. I would recommend eating Egg Beaters (egg substitute) or Egg whites...the cholesterol in eggs is found mainly in the yolk. If you have to have your real eggs, then definitely no more than three or four a week.
