punch in "laser tv" into your search engine and you will find an australian company that is in the process of putting a better tv (and cheaper than plasma and lcd) using laser technology,onto the market in the near future.hope this interests you.

well open the newspaper it ifyou live in the backwoods hill country you can still satillite from dish or direct tv, HD tv has been in salt lake city for the past 4 years it hard to find a tv that not hd there a few tubes out there that have the digtal tuner in them that show sd but most new tvs are hd and afew hd ready that need the tuner wake up people hd is here

"hd-ready" sets are fully operational high definition TV sets and are already on sale.

They have been on sale for a while. I think its a question of not enough HD channels to support watching a HD TV. As usual, someone, somewhere is simply trying to brainwash you into parting with loads of cash. Resist! resist or die!
