I am a librarian. For training, see:
http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos068.htm#training
I'd suggest that you take a look at the Occupational Outlook Handbook, available in most libraries and online at: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocoiab.htm.
Your school or the Labor Department in your state may also provide guidance. As to being a librarian, I would not suggest it as a career for everyone, though I enjoy being a librarian very much.

I'm a marine engineer; spend my days working on machinery aboard merchant ships. Learned how to do it working in enginerooms on US Navy ships. Have some college, but no degree yet.
I work 7 days a week for 4 months, then get 4 months' vacation. I go to college in Eugene, Oregon when I'm on vacation. The pay is good, and I get to travel all over the world.

I am a Web Designer and I love it is so fun.
You have to go to school for web design where you`ll learn all the programs such as : Dreamweaver, JavaScript, HTML, etc.It is very cool once you can design a website using all you have learned and being able to see it online just like any other you see today and think, oh ! I designed it! I feel proud of myself for that.
Hope you can find your call!

I'm 35 and have had three careers. Ask yourself what you like to do? What do you find FUN?
Do you like to travel? Go work on a cruise-ship - or teach English in Asia. Find things that line up with your hobbies and what you enjoy. Once you are there, you aren't locked in - so don't worry.
