not so concerned about money and dog eat dog as with humanity as a whole, maybe she lives in a nice neighborhood , but doesn't look down on "the ghetto" and aspire to live in beverly hills because it is "quiet" petty b-word includes proffesionals not all are bussiness owners, doctors are P.B. artists are P.B. it is a referance under marxism to the middle class as a whole not just the upper middle class,a girl that has a heart about the issues is what I seek, doesn't have $ signs in her eyes, you can be middle class but idenify with the proletariate intead of the b-word( I hate typing that),most p.b.s identify w/the b. i'd like to get away from that you know ,Christians who look down on the poor, get drunk on friday, thinking they are better than muslims, people w/p.b. attitudes, girls w/p.b. attitudes there seems to be that on here, and around!!! even a proletariate girl can still have those tudes, what I said should speak of itself, especialy to someone who studies marx!!!

cause if you studied marx seriously instead of just in the classroom under a P.B. teacher's viewpoint you would no that the p.b.s aspire traditionaly to the b. but in revolutionary struggle they are won over to the side of the proletariate, hence they are no longer "middle class" in their attitudes the b and p.b.s started to be recognized as such before marx too these are just scientific observations that Marx made.

Petit-bourgeois or petty bourgeois is a French term that originally referred to the members of the upper middle social-classes in the 18th and early 19th centuries. They were seen as servants of the ruling bourgeois class who in turn were seen as servants of the aristocracy. In the context of a perceived oppressive system, the bourgeoisie denoted a label of someone in collaboration with the ruling aristocracy's lieutenants.

Starting from the mid-19th century, the term was used by Karl Marx and Marxist theorists to refer to a social class that included shop-keepers and professionals. Though distinct from the ordinary working class and the lumpenproletariat, who rely entirely on the sale of their labor-power for survival, the petty bourgeois remain members of the proletariat rather than the haute bourgeoisie, or capitalist class, who own the means of production and buy the labor-power of others to work it. Though the petty bourgeois do buy the labor power of others, in contrast to the bourgeoisie they typically work alongside their own employees; and although they generally own their own businesses, they do not own a controlling share of the means of production.
