I'm looking for a red wine that is sweet and doesn't have a strong alcohol taste, any suggestions.

I'm not sure how sweet you're looking to go, but for a light-bodied red wine, I'd recommend a beaujolais such as Louis Jadot (about $20). Beaus are floral and citrusy, and widely considered the "least red" of the red wines.

If you're looking for a REALLY sweet red, then I recommend a dessert wine. My favorites are ports, and although I'm no expert on them, I can tell you I've never had one I didn't like. Try Churchill's 10 Year Old Tawny Port, which should cost you about $30.
