I get HD but on cable.

"hd-ready" sets are fully operational high definition TV sets and are already on sale.

BUT...

a high definition set has to have a resolution of 720p.

That is the only form of high def that is readily available. as far as 1080i and 1080p sets, you're wasting your time. The signal is not going to be put to widespread use.

wont be long there are many that are hd ready but i think there were problems with it.
