i am 24 now I remember i wasn't doing my homework that =10 spankings in school I was brought to the teacher desk she pulled down my pants and hit me with a paddle size yard stick she put me across her knee and I was paddled and I sat next to her for the year.

I had a gym teacher give me an over the knee, bare bottom spanking after school for talking smart! Worst spanking I ever got - I cried hard!!
He made me apologise 5 times before i could get up!
I was a junior in HS - never told a soul!! Wow what a spanking!!!

They did that even 15-10 years ago... I'm 20 and when I went to school, all the teachers had a paddle with holes drilled in it for spanking... and no, people, it was not a private school or a catholic school. It was a public school in North Carolina. Nothing was illegal about it and no teacher got in trouble for paddling any kid. But, they never pulled the pants down...
The principal also used to walk around the school smoking a big ole cigar. He never got in any trouble. He would just be walking around and smoking like it was nothing. His name was Mr. Hill. I believe he passed away a few years ago. He wasn't a bad guy though. He actually gave me the heimlich manuever one time when I was choking on a nacho in first grade during lunch. I still remember it to this day.

I'm 46 and spanking was very common when I was in grade school and junior high. I never got caught doing anything the warrented a spanking but if I had ever been caught....woooo I would have had a hard time sitting. Plus the whoopin' I would have got at home from the spanking at school would have been way worse.

I remember spankings in school but teachers were never allowed to pull down the students pants in order to dispense them, or have the student pull down their own pants. Sounds like your teacher may have been giving them out for reasons other than discipline.

Seriously, I was in school 20 years ago and any teacher spanking anyone would have gotten spanked by the school board for sure.

Everyone has memories that stick out. That would have made you 4 years old. It is possible your memory is exagerating because that would be pre-school and 1/2 year of 1/2 day or approx 30 classes.
Also they did stop this type of punishment in all scholl before you were born, so that would have been repotable.
Seek help if your memory does not improve.

at 24-you should not have a memory of having your pants pulled down and being spanked by a school official. i have nearly 10 years on you and they stopped that in school before i was in the second grade

We called them hacks and I got plenty of them. There was a school policy that they had to be given away from the other children though and usually by the principal. I got a good one when I was in first grade by the recess teacher for flipping up the back of my dress to a boy.
I miss the good ol' days, when kids had some fear in their eyes and were respectful of their teachers (because they feared them).

Ive been out of school for 30 years and YES I remember that happened here in the UK too. Never did us any harm did it?
