I'm 25 yrs. old and have been on JDate.com three and a half years. I chatted online once with this one gal who's also 25. She seemed nice (not much in common) but just downright nice. So, I agreed to talk on the phone with her and keep an open mind. We talked another day about 25 minutes and she seemed nice. We had a nice conversation but nothing as far as sparks I would say...well, there WERE a few occasions and she was telling me how she's a soft speaker. So, maybe she was shy or something. I didn't contact her at all for two weeks and then finally, last Wednesday, I open up my email and she wanted to know if I would be willing to go to coffee or something with her. Well, number one, I was surprised. Never before had a girl pursued me in such a way. Second, I DID think she was nicer than other girls I had ever spoken with, so I responded with a yes--She seems different from the other girls. So, we have a date set for Wednesday night at 6 in a grill/restaurant.

Go for it, if it turns out you don't like her that much and can't see it going anywhere then just try to worm your way into her knickers.
On the other hand, it often happens that the people you end up loving most don't make much impact on you when you first meet them, so maybe yo should treat her with a bit of respect and give her a chance.
Either way you can't lose (unless you don't like her at all and don't get to *******) so you may as well give it a go.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Alot of people (especially girls) just dont believe that we could ever be happy! Meeting someone online is a daunting experience and i expect this is what she was feeling. She has obviously decide to bite the bullet and go for it. Be happy that you may have met the woman of your dreams and dont hold the fact that she's been a bit on the shy side against her. Good Luck!

of course it's the beginning of a relationship .....You need to ask yourself if you have firm ideas on how you want the relationship or the date to go. If you have, you may be disappointed. If not, you'll be open to just getting to know her and enjoying her company. Saying you have not previously had somebody "pursuing me like this" sounds as if you may be attached to the way relationships SHOULD be rather than just enjoying the way it is and having that adventure of expanding a friendship

No this strikes me as a first meeting, if this goes well follow up with a real first date. Huge difference in talking on the phone/email and actually meeting in person. Don't sweat it...go meet and take it from there.

You won't know until you meet in person. The worst part of online dating (for me) was getting a great impression of someone by email & phone and then when we meet in person *poof* no chemistry. Just keep your expectations in check and see how it goes :)

Be careful who you chat with and what you say online. I have found the most lie anyway. The one good thing is you are meeting her in a restaurant. be careful.

Hm. It could be the beginning of a relationship, but not sure if it'll last. Good luck =)

It sounds like it could go well. As long as you do like her. if you're unsure about it,. then it's probably best to leave it.
But congratulations!!! Have fun and be safe!

All things are possible, but slow down. She might not be what you are looking for and vice versa.
