I'm with you mate, yeah I like most ciders, including all the 'trendy' ones like Magners and Bulmers, but I really like the taste of the white ones too, even White Diamond. Don't worry over it, ok it has a reputation as a piss head drink, but it's still lower in volume than say Sherry, Port and every Spirit. Ignore the views of others and go for it. After all, every cider was a Chavs drink a few years ago

A quick fix to get drunk?

I've tried White Ciders (and incidentally alot of 'ciders' from Europe that are flavoured with Pears, Peaches, even Strawberries!)..... And must say i find it a bit dry, and lacking taste!!!!..... but it is very potent!

Why not try one of the other Bottle Ciders that are now appearing for a change..... I like 'Sirrus' (slightly sweet) and excellent when enjoyed over a good few ice cubes!!!

At the end of the day, Cider contains A LOT of sugar (CALORIES!!!!) and is not good for you if you drink it frequently!!

I used to be called 'Stick Insect' before I ballooned after drinking Cider in my late teens/early 20's....... Food, or rather Drink, for Thought!!!

You should try Westons somerset cider or Kopperberg Swedish pear cider.

I used to drink 9 litres of White Lightening every day. I preferred the taste of Frosty Jack but White Lightening was more readily available. I would also drink Lightening Dragon, Carbon White, Polaris, Daimond White and others when I had the option.
I started to drink these drinks because of economic necessity, as I could not afford to drink as much as I liked of other beverages. I would also make "white death" by mixing white cider with Gold Label, or super-strength lager.

Nowadays I avoid drinking white cider because I don't like to be associated with chavs. When I used to drink it I thought I seemed very artistic and bohemian (typical student vanity)... great days those!

Enjoy your cider!

As with sherry, the whiter it is the drier. But like Top Pepe, dry cider should be drunk chilled, as the name Frosty Jack implies.
