Five month old siamese kitten wont eat no appetite?

My daughter bought two sisters siamese kittens from a pet shop. One of the kittens was very underweight and wouldnt eat much. She was told that the sisters had been sold separately and that the kitten stopped eating. That wasnt the case as the underweight kitten has been in the vets with intravenous and the other cat is doing fine at my daughters home. The cat has had various blood tests and the white and red blood cells are low. They have come up with the verdict that the cat is anorexic. They are force feeding her. Should she not gain weight she will go back to the hospital. Anyone have any idea what to do if the vets havent a clue?

See a good vet and ask about FIP. That comes to mind when these symptoms come about with a Siamese. I am all too familiar with FIP and Siamese.

This is a horrid disease and is common to Siamese. There is NO test for it, it can only be assumed based on symptoms.

Ask your vet about it soon!!!
Sadly, it is always fatal once the cat has become ill.

This is a good one. Cornell is great and I have been there with three Siamese that dies from what Cornell presumed to be FIP.

Considering the amount of darker fur on the haunches in the first picture, a seal point Siamese. A chocolate point would have a totally ivory white body with no darkness anywhere on the torso. Looks like an apple head too, much healthier for them! Less nasal problems than the more extreme type that the shows favor.

If you want to save her. I'm not a vet but this sounds serious. I hope they can find whats wrong with her. Siamese cats are so beautiful.
