In my country, the Netherlands, most internet pages are obviously in our own language. Why would we have our internet in English? We have our own language (Dutch). This goes for all other European countries. I'm sure that in Latin America the internet is mainly Spanish.

I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, but you do realise that outside of the US not everybody is able to speak, read or write English?

English is spoken in most parts of the world so it is natural for anything that is international to be in English. There are websites in other languages as well even though the web itself is in English. By the way, I'm from Israel

most of the WWW (world wide web) is english because much of the US is obsessive of it. There are foreign language websites though

In many languages, you can try yahoo french for example. I am in Central America, El Salvador is the name of my country.

I am in Spain, some sites are totally Spanish and others are in English
