are these nutty bars a figment of my imagination? i remember a choc bar that had half peanuts all around and they had a brown clear wrapper. No one i talk to remembers them so i am starting to think a made them up they were lush i think

Chaos seems to be the only correct one here lol. Nutty's were my favourite bar! It consisted of fudge covered in peanuts, no chocolate, no biscuit or anything else. And yes it was in a clear brown wrapper and they were wonderful!!!!

Yes - there were things called nutty bars as you described - pretty much all nuts I think with no chocolate.
Probably outlawed now due to Peanut Allergy fears!
Also.....where are Texan Bars, Spangles, Bazooka Joes?

if my source is indeed the nutty bars you are looking for you can still find them sometimes at gas stations, I know Food Maxx carries them, Vons/Safeway does too. I have also seen the at the Dollar Tree.
I hope it is what you are looking for...I love them way to much, I try to avoid them because man oh man you know they are the stuff

You can't buy these anymore (unfortunately). The nuts on the bars were also coated with a thin sticky transparent toffee coating. They were delicious and I think they were available until the late 80's. Remember them well! Rowntrees were taken over by Nestle - so Nestle if you're reading - BRING 'EM BACK!

I remember them - but can't think what they were called. They had peanuts on the outside with caramel and chocolate (biscuit?) in the middle - they were lush.

there are nutty bars from "debbie snacks" they come in boxes. it's just like you described it ecept theirs no peanuts. it's kinda like a giant Kit Kat.
