Nope that seems perfectly fair to me. If you can't pay your rent then mayne you shouldn't have signed a lease. The fee is your punishment for not keeping you end of the deal. Just be glad that aren't pressing legal charges or evicting you yet. Cut back on you time online, quit drinking so much and get a job, make some money and pay your bills like the rest of us.

Sounds confiscatory, but you did sign a lease which included a provision allowing such a charge, did you not? The idea of a late fee is to encourage payment timliness. A late fee is valid penalty for breach of contract, whether or not you read the lease before signing.

of path he can accomplish that. That he did no longer enforce the finished stages of effects he might have enforced interior the previous does not advise that he can't accomplish that NOW. My wager is that he's starting to be weary of your being late and has desperate to make it as financially painful as a threat once you're late, in hopes which you get the message and commence paying your lease ON TIME.

In our building, you get evicted if you're late - I'd rather pay the 50 bucks per day!

Check your lease. If it's in there, and you signed it; you are responsible to pay it.
