Sounds like maybe obsessive compulsive "disorder"-- look it up in Yahoo before seeking professional assistance - NOT a psychiatrist ! But possibly a counselor of some other designation. If you are very young, try talking to your school nurse or guidance counselor-
Before taking any drastic advice, first adjust yourself so that you have an excellent diet(fruits, veg's , whole grains, cut down sugar...) and get plenty of rest. Don't listen to those who would have you believe that these seemingly simple things are unrelated to mental or personality issues.

It's called obsessive compulsive disorder. Obsessive (the thoughts), compulsive( the action). If you don't make things right you will drive yourself insane. I suffered with it for years. I was afraid of germs, silverware had to be the same distance from the edge of the table and the list goes on and on and on. I take antidepressants and xanax. Now I could care less whether everything has to done or is perfect.

It seems that you like order in your life.

Maybe too much, but you have to step back & change the things you can & leave what you can't change to some one else. & try not to let it bug you.

When you do some of these things ask your self why am I doing this. Tell your self that there are things you don't have to do.

You are in control even if you can't seem to control.some of the things yopu do.
