I'm asking about adults who are on medication for adhd.

there are 14 indicators that docs generally use in diagnosing ADD/ADHD... 7 indicators need to be present for a diagnosis to be made... you may or may not have that indicator - that said, mental health medications are not curative... the medication might help a person focus while its in the system and a naturally messy person can work towards getting their piles and stuff together... its still a tedious chore... ADD folks generally don't fare well with mundane tasks
I have been working on the areas of my life that my ADHD affects and have gained mastery over myself in every area but that...
as far as medications go, I'd rather be messy than subject my brain to the effects of meds and me to the side effects... simply not worth it...
or maybe I am just allergic to paper *smile*

Well I have adhd and am a bit messy and disorganized. My desk is a mess and I tend to forget thing I am suppossed to do, although when I do get focused on things I can be quite productive. So mentally I have the ability to be fairly organized if I put my mind to it. My good buddy also has adhd and he is the opposite. His house is perfectly clean, and all of his files are neatly organized in folders and files. He even took my huge pile of books and papers in my house and organized them for me. He, however, is not at good at mentally focusing and organizing his thoughts. So it appears you can be outwardly disorganized and mentally organized or vice versa. But in both cases there are parts of the personality that are disorganized. I guess it depends on what aspect of disorganization you are speaking.

I do not know, i am not adhd and do not know any adults who are adhd. Sorry, however, thank you for the two points. I hope someone answers the question that has the information you are seeking. however you could do a search on ask.com on adult adhd and I am very sure you will find a vast amount of information that would be very helpful to you. NO, I am very meticulous and neat. I have ADHD. I however am disorganized in my thoughts. I jump around alot and can't seem to stay focused. Meds don't work 100% on anything. Therepy comes into play for this.

Show me everyone is organized in our chaotic lifestyles. I am adult ADHD, and can multi-task greatly, but can't organize my desk, or the kitchen is immaculate, and my bedroom a mess. I'm fanatic about my car being clean,...what happens after one week with kids in the car?
Our life styles are so busy. I hate after Christmas, too much JUNK! Just going to the mailbox upsets me,...more paperwork. I keep track of receipts and one day had 30 to file appropriately. Thank you China for shipping all your crap here.
I have a rule, NOTHING goes in my house unless it has a place to go. Don't blame yourself continually for living in a messy enviroment. Our earth is getting messier everyday!

I have and take meds for ADHD and no I am not messy or disorganized to the contrary that's how I am when I don't take meds

i know one person who has adhd and yes he is on medication and is messy and disorganized and there is another who is opposite but not totally so ill say it depends on the individual i hope that answers your question.

yes they r messy and crazy and when they grow up have high chance to become antisocial,,, use behaviaral medicine and ssri
