I am 11 i am 5"5 and i weigh 160 im thinking of doing YMCA and im planning to lose that 60 lb's im very pretty and i want to lose that weight!!!!! plz help me!!!!

That's really tall for an 11 year old, isn't it??? I'm 22 and I'm 5'7, my 12 and 11 year old cousins only come up to my chest. Talk to your mother or doctor about going on a diet, you seem like you are to young to be on line, especially with the amount of pervs that on line.

Well, you should exercise AND eat healthy food, because I`m not any taller or older than you, and I`m 95 lbs. I`m trying to lose weight, also. But just because you weigh 160 lbs. may not mean you`re fat. Maybe you have big muscles. I have huge muscles, so that adds a lot of weight to me. And you`re growing, so no wonder you weigh a lot. When you grow, you gain weight. And you`re almost as tall as a celebrity, so no wonder once again! And if this is because people make fun of you, then don`t mind them because they`re not being good. Just keep healthy. I`ll pray for you.

I don't know of anyone who is happy with his/her weight. 160 does sound abit high for your height but don't try to loose 60 pounds. That's too much! 100 pounds is much too thin for your height. I would set your goal at around 120-125. My advice to you is don't use fad diets or diet pills. You will gain the weight back and then some. Do what I did and still do to loose weight and keep it off. I eat what I want for breakfast and lunch. Then for supper, I eat a salad (as much as I want) or popcorn or a bowl of cold cereal or whatever you like that's light. By eating light at the meal just before you go to bed, you will not only loose weight but you feel better in the morning and your appetite will begin to go down. My husband does the same thing. We splurge on the weekends abit, but that's pretty much how we eat 5 days a week. Good luck to you!

Exercice is a very good way to loose weight. And if your YMCA has a gym, then get an ID, and join it! Make sure you keep up with a schedule becuase it's very easy to give up. I'm 5' 4" and weigh 106 lbs., so the average weight for you should be 110 lbs.
Thats what you should aim for. Good luck!

Try around 30 pounds hunny, 100 would make you stick thin with bones and all. You sound like your bigboned and probably muscular too, if you want to lose weight eat around 1500 calories and go run the track or swim at the Y at least 3 days a week.

i think that 60 lbs is wayyy to much as a goal, and that would make you underweight. And don't go on a diet at 11. just walk everyday and cut down on the snacks. good luck

Well know that its never too late to get yourself healthy. Try to stay away from cokes and sweets and fast food joints. Eat more healthy stuff like fruit, veggies, chicken and fish and drink lots of water. More importantly you must get your metabolism going so walk to school and walk home after school if you can. keep your body active. instead of sitting behind the tv or computer for hours go walk around the block for 30 minutes to 1 hour and burn off some fat. You are probably a little overweight but not fat. My god your only 11 so I wouldnt spend a lot of time worrying about it. Just exercise and try to eat right the extra will probably just come right off.

first off your not fat. but you are a built girl for your age. i wouldn't advise you of losing 60lbs that's toooooo skinny start slow like 10lbs then another 10. you would look great at 125lbs to 130lbs. Good luck and always love yourself
