If you are a beginner who has never incubated eggs before, this is a very doubtful undertaking. Besides, do you even know whether the egg is fertile?
You will need to find out what temperature to incubate a parakeet egg, how often to turn it, whether or how often to dampen it. You'll need to buy or make an incubator.
Then, after it hatches, you will need to hand-feed it all day every day with baby bird formula, during daylight hours, while still keeping it warm. Baby birds are delicate, and it will be difficult to raise one successfully from the egg.
If you succeed, the bird will be your best friend for life.

I'm afraid it's just crazy.

If you are not familiar with the process, chances are VERY high that you will fail in hatching it. Even if you do, chicks need to be hand fed a special formula at least every three hours. Are you a student in school? If so, the chick will die. Are you an adult with a job? If so, the chick will die.

It is better to get an adult or juvenile bird than to risk killing a baby. Use Google to find out about an bird rescue / shelter near you. Birds at rescues are generally in better health than those at pet stores, and the people there are very knowledgable and can help you learn how to best take care of a bird.

Good luck!

Yes, just crazy.

You would need exactly the right CONSTANT temperature and humidity. Then you would need to roll the egg at the same intervals parents would.

How did you come across this egg, anyway? Someone's single pet lay one? You know those are NOT fertile.

If you already have this egg, and have not kept it at the appropriate temperature and humidity so far, and there ever was something in it besides yolk, it is already dead.

I don't think you have to worry about keeping a baby warm and feeding it. Doubtful it will come to that.

Call a large pet store where somebody might have some experience with this. Either that or over easy with parrot bacon?
