Lavendar is supposed to have VERY calming effects on people. There are also several candles that mix the oil of Chamomile with scents like vanilla and lavendar that are said to have calming effects on people. Personally, I find that candles scented like baked goods (pumpkin being my all time fav) are very calming.

Lavender oil. Its good for promoting relaxation and sleep. Try and get hold of a genuine essential oil or dried lavender though for the best result, some 'fragrance oils' i.e. cheap versions may just make you feel sick.

Lavender or so i'm told. My mom swears by the stuff. It's all over her bathroom. She even has one of those scented sleep masks that she uses at night.
