In the past few weeks, he has pooped on our bed two times, AND in the corner of our boot room. Its hard stool, so it is not like he has no control. He is acting normal and has been eatting, so I am not TOO concerned, however, I am really curious as to why he is doing this.

How old is your cat? I had an 8 yr old male cat that started pottying in the cat grass box and peeing in the corner of the den. I took him to the vet and found out he had a large mass on his kidneys.

Have you moved or changed his surroundings? Are you paying him as much attention as you always have? And of course, is his litter box as clean as it should be? Some cats don't mind a little bit of a dirty box, but others want it cleaned as soon as they use it.

Even if he is eating and acting normal, I definately would visit the vet! It would at least give you some peace of mind that kitty is fine.

Probably one of two reasons.

1. The litter box has a smell to it which the cat doesn't like. While it may be clean to your senses, it may not be to his. Try some bleach and rinse the heck out of that thing. Or try a new box, but expect the same thing to happen for a while until he becomes adjusted again. But first, i'd say just try to wash it out with some bleach this time, but please make sure you rinse it out COMPLETELY.

2. The cat is undergoing stress. This can happen for a million different reasons and i wouldn't try to worry about figuring out what it is. Just let things go as they are and the cat will readjust soon.

Hope this helps.

Could be many things:

1) he doesn't like the litter box: Have you moved it or changed brands of litter? Do you clean it daily and scrub it monthly? Cats are very clean animals. What may seem like clean to you is the opposite for your cat.

2) he is stressed out about something: Have you changed any routines? Has anyone been sick? Have you been stressed and ignored him more that usual? Have you changed foods?

3) he may be sick. Cats will stop using the litterbox and will go elsewhere in attempts to get you to notice they are sick.

If all else fails, take him to your vet.

Start taking him outside and get him a litter box. If that doesn't work take him to the vet. He could be starting a seizure, but it's very rare.
