Also, were you on any other anti-depressant at the same time?

As I recall the first few days/weeks it seemed like a huge energy boost, which settled into a general edgy/jittery feeling - this was on 300mg/day. I got 40mg Celexa added to that which counteracted the edginess, which helped greatly for a while but got to a point where my sleep was very disturbed. I'm now on WB 150mg/day and recently off the Celexa... withdrawal is hell.

I now realize that while the meds got me through a really rough spot in my life, it's really just covering up the deeper issues that I'm gonna have to deal with sooner or later. So that's why I'm going off the meds, gonna stay on WB through the winter and go med-free come spring.

Your doctor is a complete idiot in every aspect of his being. Wellbutrin CAUSES anxiety. Tell him he doesn't know the difference between bupropion (wellbutrin) and buspirone (the anxiety medication). Ps To Pharmacy Guy: Wellbutrin is indicated for adult add of primarily inattentive nature and does not exhibit strongly sedative properties against severe hyperactive or mixed type ADHD. Get a better doctor.

I took wellbutrin to quit smoking on the advice of my doctor, It's an anti axiety/depresant pill. Well it worked all right, i didn't want to smoke, eat, sleep, have sex, think, etc. I stopped taking it after 2 weeks. I had a 4 month supply but I really didn't want to go through another 3 months of feeling nothing.

I tried it to quit smoking years ago. I was a mess on it. I had anxiety attacks, I was miserable and I cried all the time. I was only on it for about a week. Nobody around me could stand it. My boyfriend tried it last year for anxiety. He was a space cadet. He couldn't function on it. It's a terrible drug. I was on Paxil for many years and I loved it. Helped with anxiety and depression with few side effects. It was very hard to go off of it, though. I think all antidepresants are, though. Good luck!
