Take a can of beer or any soft drink and drill two holes in the bottom. Pour out the contents and refill the can with salty water - this takes a while. Close the holes with two pop or blind rivets and place in refrigerator. Guaranteed surprise and no-one gets hurt.

Tape the little switch under the receiver of his land line phone down so that it will ring but cannot be answered.

This one works best in the early fall.
Wait until you know that he's going to have to run the defroster in the morning, and fill the defroster vents with glitter/confetti/teeny styrofoam pellets/ etc. That way, when he climbs in, turns the key, sets the unit to defrost, and cranks the fan, he is COVERED in this explosion of stuff.
(ps: glitter, while pretty, will sting if he gets it in his eyes)

Another is to tape up a sheet over the doorframe of his house door, with a good seal at the edges, and fill the gap between the door and the sheet with the styrofoam pellets. When he opens the front door of the house/apt, it pulls all of the pellets into the house.
Be prepared to help clean tho...

Well a friend of mine took oreos, the cheap kind, you take the cookie and pull the sides apart, lick the insides and stick them to the car.....the great thing about this is that they don't mess up paint and you can have a BLAST doin' it!!! It takes a LONG time to do this so make sure you can get away with it!!!

If he has stuff in his car, move it all to the opposite side of the car. Do the same with small stuff in his bedroom, and work your way up. Eventually, move all his furniture around. Then wait a day or so and spill.

Get a can of shaving cream and place it in the freezer, maybe overnight, and then remove the bottom section of the can to remove frozen section of shaving cream. Place the shaving cream block any where you want, the glove compartment is great, and slowly the shaving cream will expand to it's room temperature size. 1 frozen can will fill up a 5 gallon bucket when thawed.
