Would it sentence a man to 20 years in prison for giving away a single marijuana joint to another adult like they did in Texas? Would such a nation use prison at all for illegal drugs?

But a "Christian" nation would accept that God created everything, so he must be the great pusher in the sky. Or am I missing something?

1. America is not a "Christian" nation. It is a secular government, based on some Christian principles, with Christians and many other religious groups within it. You are in error if you assume every move made by the American Government (at any level) is guided by Christian principles.

2. If it is illegal to possess and distribute marijuana, even for free, and the penalty is 20 years in prison for such an offense (when convicted) then someone doing this should expect the legal system to be consistent in its own exercises. They should EXPECT jail time if caught.

3. I promote jail time for drug possession and trafficking. Even in our small town, we have our own parasites: people making and trafficking drugs. They sell to school children as well as adults. They steal from local stores to get the chemicals to make their product. Their houses are chemical nightmares; bombs waiting to go off. Their guard dogs menace the neighborhood. If they feel threatened by their peace-loving neighbors, they threaten to burn down the houses of old people (with the elderly inside them!)! They shoot people who get in their way, even when that person was NOT one of their welching customers.

Drugs do not exist in a vaccuum. They are accompanied by theft, rape, assualt, battery, and murder. Yes, jail time is very appropriate.
