Moon and his followers regard him as a new Messiah, much like Jesus or Elijah or John the Baptist. They explicitly deny the divinity of Christ or of Moon.
They believe in reincarnation.
They are NOT a Christian denomination, no more so than are the Mormons or Christian Scientists, but a distinct world religion.
They are not taken seriously and are a common object of derisive ridicule.
