I guess It all depends on age here....
I personally like it when girls dress classy and sexy (with some taste).. Dresses, skirts, and nice jeans come to mind. As far as colors go it really doesn't make a difference to me.
things that i dislike is when girls wear shirts that say things like "tease" or when they wear those jeans with no back pockets with them (it's not flattering to girls butts). Also I don't like it when girls wear little girlish things like mickey mouse sweaters.

Your question is concerned with "guys" in general, I think so.
But I can say only about my choise or what I would like.
I would like a girl wearing full dress because a woman is beautiful when she is dressed well and nicely and not when she is naked or half-naked! Because then you see her BODY not her true essence.
I have observed that Muslim women can't show their faces. They have to cover their faces with veils. I would like them to show off their faces.
A girl will get more respect from me if she has to show off just 2 or 3 inches of her body from her feet than a girl who covers just 2 or 3 inches of her body from her waist.
Woman is not a thing for any "show-off"! Show your heart if you can show it!

I'm assuming we're talking about women 21 and over.
A nice short skirt outfit always goes best. Put a sexy blouse or sweater over it and have some nice heels. Very nice. I tend to like the short skirt outfits more elegant as opposed to trashy.

I can't speak for every other male in here, but I really have no preferences over what a chick wears. HEAR THAT LADIES?? MEN DON'T CARE!!!!!
Although if you go out all gothic and stuff, it has to be apparent that you actually ENJOY life. Most goths I've seen look so miserable in their attire and make-up that I just have no desire to ever talk to them.
