At age 10 your dog should be having a blood test for geriatric dogs every year when he gets his annual exam. That will tell the vet if the dog's beginning to have problems (e.g. kidnery or liver) and it can be treated before it gets serious. You should take this dog to the vet for a check-up to find out what's going on.

take him to the vets and get him checked. if hes not drinking lots of water he obviously has a problem. as for him staying by your side constantly its probably to reassure him your there and not going to leave him. hes trying to tell you something. speak to your vet.

You should take your dog to the vet, the problem could become serious. Also, you should take him to the vet for monthly check-ups if your that worried.
