Yeah too many people think that fractures are different to breaks: it is kinda funny but the worst part of it is that this confusion shows that the educational system in our country has failed some people.. More people should be taught the basics of first aid or just generally taught something.. anything will do.. Here's the thing guys and gals: if a doctor says you have a fractured arm/leg/rib/finger etc, it is THE SAME as having a broken arm/leg/rib/finger.

God yes Soozy i agree,we dont need paramedics with attitudes like that. And getting bck to the question a broken bone is no worse then a fracture.they both mean the same thing. The word fracture is defined as "the act off being broken" yes there are all differant types off fractures and broken bones but both words mean the same. And no alot off people do actually think that a broken bone is worse then a fracture, there not professionals in ortho are they ?And no i dont need to lighten up thanks at least i dont insult people and you was a paramedic yer my ****.

Yep, the comments patients make! lol I have heard a few in my time.
To those who will no doubt say about the difference between a break and a partial break...medically speaking it matters not one bit, a break is a break! Its just a difference in degree. Fracture is the clinical term, break is what Joe Public uses generally, same injury different word.

A fracture is only a crack, while a break is a complete seperation from one side of the bone to the other.
There is a difference. A fracture is less broken.

Funny!!!
I went into a sports shop with a friend once, they had a sale on due to the sprinklers going off a couple of days before. She was looking at football boots for her hubby and came across a pair of 'moldies' for £80, she actually said to the shop assistant 'why, if they are mouldy (because of the water damage), aren't they reduced!!!!!!!'

properly... no longer truly... yet that quick panting they do at the same time as excited ... you comprehend "heh heh heh heh" is type of the equivalent of a doggie snigger. The excited snorting and sneezing too. yet in a human way - no they don't chortle. notwithstanding you would possibly want to call a wagging tail a doggie chortle!

Ah bless! So many people think a "break" is worse than a "fracture". Perhaps they don't have a dictionary!

ah, bless.
I understand her logic. Surely a fracture is better than a break?
A broken arm is snapped in two, a fracture is hairline... No?
