How can someone be so closed minded toward others?!

It truly seems like a combination of what all of you have said. Nondescript, that is a very interesting, deep answer you have shared with us. Hmmm...

I think he's just trying to get a rise out of us. I'm not biting. Being purposefully inflammatory (playing devil's advocate) has its place, but I say, enough already! lol After awhile it stops being interesting and starts becoming childish and tiresome.

It's a twist on Pascal's Wager. Pascal's Wager is a lame argument for believing in God which is as follows, "If Christians are right, they will go to Heaven (big reward). If they are wrong, their belief doesn't affect them very negatively. If atheists are right, it doesn't affect them much. If atheists are wrong, then they will go to Hell and be tortured forever (big punishment)."

The main fault with this argument, other than the lack our ability to just "believe" something, is that there are more choices than that. If there is a non-Christian god, then Christians might be tortured forever (big punishment). If the god likes people who think independently, then atheists might go to Heaven (big reward). Or Christians and atheists might be both rewarded or both punished.

Personally, I think that no gods exist. I also think that Christian (and other religious) belief is harmful and leads to many of the problems people have in life. So, even without a god, Christians really do get a punishment, though not as large as the Christians imagined punishment for atheists.

The question you ask about presumes one of the alternative outcomes not classically included in Pascal's Wager.

I agree that all people that have not trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for them will burn in the lake of fire.
He died for our sins He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Well, he probably really is a ***** waggy. I'll bet he is gay and is upset about the life he has lived. So, to make himself feel better-he shoots off at normal humans.

I think that he and others like him are attention seekers, and the best thing to do in that situation is ignore them. They'll go elsewhere.
