No, The American Dream is not for everyone in the World.
The American Dream is for LEGAL citizens that are America born or LEGAL IMMIGRANTS of the United "Steaks". It is NOT for illegal aliens or their spawn.
A person has to LEGALLY enter the United "Steaks" and be accepted under our rule of law before they can be a LEGAL citizen.
Then and only then, are they entitled to the American Dream.
Breaking the law is a good way to get off to a bad start!
LEGAL OR LEAVE!

I think the American Dream is rapidly becoming the American Cliche, the wife/picket fence trip isn't even a big seller at home anymore...not with high mortgage default rates, taxes that are high enough to make you think twice about where and what you buy, we're getting fairly well over-leveraged here, and when some national company buys up all the rentals in your area and starts setting prices nationwide, whereinhell are you supposed to move to, exactly?
Other countries can have their own 'dream', Mexico could have the Mexican Dream, Canada can have the Canadian Dream, so forth and so on. Or, maybe everyone should wake the hell up, get a fresh cup of coffee, and read the morning paper...wakey wakey..

Of course the American dream is for everybody. Who in the world doesn't want to live free and successful, with the great bounty and society that Americans have worked so hard to create?
But if every single person that dreams such a dream came to America, the dream would be over in short order. If third world illegal immigrants continue to flood the nation and strain society, it will all be over.
Does that mean they can't dream? Of course not. If people don't like their nation, I suggest they fix it, or move somewhere they are legally entitled to move to. That's just what the pioneers to the US did - they moved to a new world and, through hard work, created the society we enjoy today.
Don't like Mexico? Fix your own nation. If you can't fix it back home, then what will you contribute to the US anyway? And if you really do want to come to the US, then do it legally.

American dream is American dream, it is only for the legal citizens of the United States of America. Illegal immigrants are exactly what they are ILLEGAL! The only reason the minimun pay as it is is because the illegals want jobs no matter the low wages and consequences, and the businesses can pocket more money since hiring legal citizens naturally want higher wages than the minimum. Minimum wages are for young people who needs to work while going to school and still living with parents.

The American 'dream' has turned into a nightmare, thanks to the corrupt and evil monopolistic political system in this country that is controlled by the Republican and Democratic parties. The 'Republicrats' have turned our electoral system into a dirty joke, allowing voters very little choice. The nameless, faceless aristocrats, wealthy elitists, big business entities, oil companies, military-industrial complex players, and special interest groups have put a stranglehold on the way our system is supposed to work, therein destroying the American 'dream'.
Yes, everyone coming to the U.S. believes they can make more money and live a better life than they do in their own country. But the truth is they end up on a certain rung on that ladder and never are able to climb above it.
To be sure, there are a hand full of individuals who - through perseverance, determination and tenacity - make it to one of the top rungs on the ladder, but not without some personal sacrifice to their own integrity, dignity, or honor.
Politicians in this country are bought and sold everyday, and few every achieve the status of "honorable' human being we so loosely attach to these cretins.
Our U.S. Congress is filled with a blatant assortment of liars, cheats, shoplifters, pedophiles, bad-check writers, alcoholics, petty thieves, cross dressers, gambling addicts, homosexuals, wife beaters, drug abusers, prostitutes, and even a murderer or two. They have ruined the American dream for all of us. -RKO-

The American Dream is not so great in the current society. It is not even for every American anymore.
The USA has sold the dream to the world via its ownership of the media, including the film industry.
Of course all those poor people in third world countries want a chance to come to America.
They don't know that USA is not the land of promise any more.

They do not come here to stay here. This is why they come illegally. They come here to work and send American dollars home. They actually make money on the money they send back and better their "home lands" economy. After a couple years...or even a couple of months they go home to a nest egg in waiting. When that runs out they hop the border again, this is why we see so many repeat offenders. In short: This is the Land of Opportunity for them. That is it! They do not come here for the American Dream. They cost too much money and are a liability for established citizens. To explain myself...most do not come here illegally to stay here. They do not aspire to be doctors or lawyers or Bill Gates. They come to make some extra cash go home and then do it all over again. I dunno. Maybe that is the modern day American Dream.

I think I detect two entirely different questions here.
In answer to your first question, I think the American dream should definitely be for everyone. I also think that every government should answer to the people, and not the other way around.
Illegally entering this country is another topic altogether. The American dream shouldn't start by deliberately breaking American laws, period.

I am living my American dream.I have worked hard and I am proud of what I have accomplished.I put in 14 hour days,I employ 30 people in my business. We all work hard. They are paid extra well, because they give me their best every day. They are partners not just my employees.
My husband also owns businesses but his are much larger and he employs hundreds. But we both have put in the effort needed to have our American dream. We live in Arizona and we love this state and we will fight for this country if necessary. The dream is here still for anyone with ideas and the drive to go after it.But you cant start a business with dirty hands. You must be legal and then with effort ,ideas and hard work your dream will become reality.Good luck

Everyone in every nation can try, legally to come here. If they are granted PERMISSION to be here then they can participate in the "American Dream".
Otherwise, they should overthrow their governments or act from within to establish their own dream in thier own lands!
WE did it, so can they, even it means sacrifice.
We sacificed! So can they!
