no it is not too late to put ice on it u should put ice on it it will help ease the pain. Also keep it elevated and don't bend it at all, wrap a bandage around it so you don't bend it and make it have a little pressure but not too much

Ouch!! Well lets see... If your finger is not in moveable and is bent then well your gonna be in real pain, yep! thats right your gonna haft to put it back the way its was or it will get worser and worser. Ok never mind I recemmend getting to a doctor A.S.A.P!! He'lll know what to do. As for that put some ice on it and take two Tylonel or Advil (adult dose) every four hours not to exceed 6 caplets per day. Take good care of your finger and get well soon.

Ice for first 36 hrs, then may try heat.
Elevate hand over level of heart.
Try Motrin as directed on package, with food or milk.
may buddy-tape middle finger to third finger for support
Have you been evaluated/xrayed or assume you have a fracture ?
Good luck/feel better ! RN in Ca

Make a splint out of Popsicle sticks and or use medical tape and tape your finger to another finger to straighten out so it will no set crocked. Use Advil for the pain it is an anti inflammatory and will help keep the swelling down. Thanks for the points and good luck.

If it is badly broken you need to see a doctor to get it reset otherwise it won't set right and you could end up with arthritis in it.

Apart from that, you should bandage it to the good finger next to it to hold it in a steady position.

It depends on how old you are. Because if you are young still your bones have not fused yet but you do need to put ice on it
