I have known this girl since middle school. We are best friends, almost like family. Everyone said that they saw us ending up together, yet we never tried. I'm crazy about her, but I dont know how she feels. Its not as easy as just asking, b/c i dont want to jeopardize the friendship. This sounds like the stereotypical puppy love crises, but she means everthing to me and I dont want to screw this up. Any adivce????

give her a e-card today it is sweetest day and tell her just what you said in the comment to us tell her how you feel before some one Else comes a long I was in the same boat as you 24 years ago and me and my man both said nothing and wasted 24 years of are lives just take a change I know it is scary but just try you don't know if you don't try and even if she don't feel the same she still will be your friend!!!! you have nothing to lose but a deeper friendship or more to gain!!!

Hello John, I understand what you mean. Take her out some where,,,,, wether it be an early afternoon movie and then dinner or just a nice dinner at a restaurant and a walk in a Park. But when the date is boiling down towards the end and the both of you have had an excellent time out and she is comfortable from being with you for awhile that day or night. Just tell her in a light way when the both of you are alone,,,,say something like "Ya know Sherry,,,,,if you'd let me i would like to be more than just friends." And that opens up the conversation for her to respond back. And it is a plain and simple phrase and most imptortantly it is not a pushy phrase. It lets her know that you are interested. If you two have been together for some time and she don't have any boyfriend. It could mean she might feel the same way about you and the best way is to find out from her in a subtle way and not directly at first.
In this way you can test the uncharted waters and gain some valuable information as to how to come out directly. Secondly for the length of time you know her and you two have been together. This is a good place base on your ineptitude with her to know how to ask her the question of you two seeing each other more than friends.

I doubt that she hasn't noticed anything.... it's impossible to hide feelings. If you two are as close as you say, then why not take the chance and tell her how you feel. I know many people who found their soul mate in their "best friend" and they're living happily ever after... Go ahead, I truly don't think that by opening your heart to her that your friendship will be shattered. Good luck !

well if ya'll are very good best of friends i say why not try to take it a lil bit more farther...but then again, like you said you dont want to loose her in any kind of way like not being the same with her....i tottally feel you in this one....i have the samething happening to me but its the other way around...he likes me and i just never have seem him like a bf material i mean im always helpin him outs with gurls but just never seen the connection there.....he hasnt come front it to me but ive been hearing that he likes me more than a friend...=/ so in this case why dont you ask her how would she like to be more than just friends???and if she doesnt respond dont pressure her in saying yes cuz then youre just jerperding youre guyses friendship!

The traditional way (and yes, this does happen often!) is to get a very trusted friend to ask her, without giving your feelings away.

if your really a friend then stay that way- maybe you will get together- but if it does not last- either will your friendship- try to get an outside person to ask her how she feels about you - and like i said- if you go past friends it is hard to go back------ so go with caution
