I am making an animal cell using food as a project in biology. So far I have only thought of these foods to use to represent the different organelles in the cell:

membrane-flour tortilla
nuclear envelope-a tostito scoop
nuckear pores-
nucleolus-
chromatin-
nucleoplasm-
mitochondrion-
golgi complex-
centriole-
microtubule-
microfilament-
vacuole-
lysosome-
cytosol-
ribosome-
rough ER-
smooth ER-

I would really appreciate any ideas of what food to use to represent the parts of the cell. Here is a picture of the animal cell so you can see what the foods are supossed to looke like.
10pts for the most gelp!

you could use some beans for the mitochondra, and some of that stringy cheese (the kind that goes on tacos) for the golgi apparatus.
