I've loved this guy for 4 years and we are really close friends! But ... when he found out i liked him he started talking to me less and trying to aviod me!!! but i love him so much!... i cant stop thinking about him!! please help me!

he probably likes you the same or more even and is just shy and or embarrassed. next time you are with him, give him a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. based on his response you will see his reaction and true feelings.
if he is non responsive or doesn't hold you for very long then it is "Houston We Have A Problem" but I am guessing that he will hold you nice like and return the shared feelings... worth a try, and it will give you a deffinent answer.
if he doesn't respond like how you want him too, than simply play it off like a joke or somehting that didn't mean as much to you as it really did. guys are clueless and he really won't think a whole lot of it if he doesn't like you the same or more,

If this guy is single etc.....It is best to confront him on the matter and hear his reason for avoiding you. There may be some thing about him you don't know, and it is wise to have an air of caution until you know the reason why.
If he don't give you some legitimate reason for his actions. See his actions as a ( Red Flag ) unfolding and as painful as it is to break off. It is better it is done now than later down the road. I know what it is like to love some one and you are not getting back what you put into the relationship.
Do what you think is best for you and your peace of mind and well being.

Probably he likes you as a friend only and with this behaviour wants to show you that he doesn't want nothing more... Just be patient, maybe he'll change his mind, or - try to get over him....

i think you should not talk to him for a while and try forgeting him. then after like a while you should try starting fresh.
